The Deer Den is a recently constructed wooden family holiday house with a stunning open-plan kitchen diner, with enclosed garden and deck for al fresco meals. It's conveniently close to the M5 (15 minutes) and within walking distance of a shop and a highly recommended pub. The Deer Den welcomes well-behaved dogs.
The living areas are perfect for socialising, offering a well-equipped kitchen, a 7-foot dining table for long chatty suppers and a cosy lounge for relaxing and watching a favourite box set. Open patio doors onto the spacious deck with plenty of garden furniture and a highlight wood-fired hot tub. The kitchen is very well equipped boasting an induction electric range for family meals, the perfect spot for a catch-up over a glass of wine before dinner. The fenced-off garden is a good space for kids to run around as well as keeping dogs in sight. At the bottom of the garden is a firepit with grill and log seating.
Bedrooms can be set up as super kings or twins upstairs, perfect for a mixed-age group. The ground-floor double is handy for anyone in the group who doesn't find stairs easy. There are 3 modern bathrooms, 1 en suite in the main bedroom, all with showers or freestanding baths for choice.
A fantastic circular walk extending across the farmland takes in Clyst Hydon and Plymtree, great for building up an appetite for a meal in the pub. For a day at the seaside, great beaches at Exmouth, Lyme Regis and Seaton are within half an hour. Ashclyst Forest, Wildwood Devon at Escot and the Bear Trail are attractions within easy reach along with National Trust properties. The bustling city of Exeter is less than 30 minutes away, as is Taunton.
