Nestled in the Glendalough Valley surrounded by a magnificent natural landscape sits The Deerstone Retreat - a wonderful destination where you can gather together extended family and friends for a holiday or to celebrate a milestone anniversary. This luxury venue is also well suited to hosting retreats, for yoga or wellbeing, and corporate events, with excellent activity spaces and retreat packages available.
Each unit provides stylish living accommodation with kitchenettes, lounge areas and private bathrooms for comfort. The eco cottages benefit from an O-Care hot tub with an outside shower and the shepherds huts come with an outdoor wood-fired Japanese soak bath. All guests have access to the woodland wellness area with 4 ice baths, a sauna, a swim spa and an infused soak bath. Rejuvenating treatments are available in the massage room.
Deerstone has a number of communal areas which can accommodate a group:
- The Shed enables 26 guests to eat together, either self catered or for a special dinner prepared by a chef for a private dining experience
- The Roundhouse is a great activity space which can be used for a yoga class or as a private treatment room
- The Barn and outside firepit provides a social space with a firepit, with the option of an organised activity such as an acoustic guitar performer, a charcuterie and cheese tasting, or an evening toasting s'mores
- Woodland Wellness Space with ice baths, wood-fired sauna, swim spa, treatment room and meditation trail
6 of the stylish bedrooms can be set up as super kings or twins, flexible for a mixed group, all with modern en suite facilities. A complimentary breakfast hamper is provided for 1 night of your stay.
A number of pretty woodland walks can be explored on site. Further afield, discover all that 'the garden of Ireland' has to offer. The County Wicklow National Park is a short drive away for walking and cycling trails. The coast can be reached within 30 minutes and Dublin an hour and 15 minutes.
