It is ideal for multi generational families, friends, walkers, canoeists and cyclists. If needed it is used by schools as accommodation during their stay but when there are no schools on site it is available for private rental. Set in 16 acres of lovely grounds and only 5 minutes from the attractive town of Crickhowell. The Firs is a great base for a relaxing break.
The Firs Bungalow is DDA compliant. The lounge has comfortable seating and a television/DVD player, and opens onto a south west facing terrace with a lovely view of the Usk Valley and across to the mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large electric cooker, a fridge freezer and dishwasher, and a large dining table seating 16. 5 en suite bedrooms (2 twins and 3 4 bed bunk rooms) work well for a mixed group. There is an en suite twin bedroom accessible by wheelchair. A hoist is available if required.
During the evenings, enjoy a barbecue together on the terrace or a spot of stargazing. Or walk down to the end of the drive for pub food at The Dragon's Head. The garage contains coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer and there is access to a drying room. There is an outside tap to use for washing canoes, cycles and kayaks. This is handy for outdoor enthusiasts making the most of local trails and rivers.
Activities can be arranged: caving, canoeing, climbing, gorge walking or bush craft. An ideal opportunity for getting a group together for a special occasion or big birthday.
Set in the middle of the Black Mountains and Bannau Brycheiniog. There are plenty of opportunities for hikers of all abilities to get outside and enjoy the countryside. Llangenny is a quiet village allowing guests to get close to nature and local wildlife. Crickhowell is a gem of a town, bustling with independent food outlets and clothes shops, award winning pubs and restaurants. Brecon and Abergavenny are close by with lots going on.
