This is a house with plenty of character, but without any fuss. Traditional where it matters, thoroughly comfortable where it counts and very much a home from home where the family dogs are welcome too. Originally a hunting lodge on the edge of the ancient Netherwood Estate, the house has been thoughtfully restored, keeping period character while adding everything you need for a modern stay. Exposed beams, slate flooring, polished wooden floors and an open fire sit alongside well equipped rooms designed for country living. A highlight is the heated indoor swimming pool, with loungers, changing rooms and views across the garden and pond. There's a shower too, and tumble dryer for pool towels. The games room with ping pong, table football and pool is a great addition for children and the young at heart. Outside, the walled garden is a peaceful spot for lunch and there's access to estate ponds for wild swimming or fishing. The kitchen is very much at the heart of daily life at The Freeth. With a range fireplace, beams and large table overlooking the garden, this is a lovely place to gather, whether you are preparing food for everyone or simply relaxing over a cup of tea. For larger gatherings everyone can sit down to eat at the dining table, wth conversations continued afterwards in the stylish comfort of the lounge where there's a welcoming open fire. The snug is an alternative sitting room with TV, a den for the youngsters giving them their own space. With 9 elegant bedrooms sleeping up to 18 guests, there is masses of flexibility for a mixed group, and plenty of bathrooms. The Freeth is set between the Malvern Hills and the Shropshire Hills, making the house a great base for keen walkers. Nearby towns of Worcester, Tenbury Wells, Leominster and Bromyard are worth a visit for interesting streets with one of a kind shops.
