Sleeping up to 12 guests across six bedrooms, with no fold-out beds or squeezed-in extras, the house offers a well-equipped kitchen with two ovens, a large induction hob, dishwasher and full-size fridge/freezer, making self-catering straightforward throughout your stay, while two shower rooms and a separate WC help keep mornings running smoothly, even with a full house.

One of the biggest advantages of staying at The Gathering House is its central location. Leave the car behind and enjoy Buxton on foot. Step outside and you’re just a 10-minute walk from Buxton Opera House, Pavilion Gardens, independent cafés and restaurants, and The Crescent Spa. Poole’s Cavern and Solomon’s Temple are around a 15-minute walk away.

For those wanting to explore further, the Peak District’s walking trails and countryside are right on the doorstep—perfect for groups wanting to combine a proper catch-up with some fresh air.

Private parking is available for two cars, with additional unrestricted on-street parking nearby.

After a day exploring the Peak District, you can stroll into town for dinner, drinks or a show before returning to the house, making The Gathering House a convenient base for groups wanting to experience both Buxton and the surrounding countryside.
