Outside, extensive grounds provide something for everyone. Take a dip in the seasonal outdoor swimming pool, enjoy a game on the tennis court or table tennis table, gather on the spacious terrace for outdoor dining or unwind in one of the many seating areas dotted around the mature gardens. Children will love the magical tree house, while the large lawns are perfect for garden games and croquet. Direct access to surrounding footpaths makes it easy to enjoy peaceful countryside walks.

Inside, the house features 3 inviting reception rooms, giving the freedom to gather as a group or find a quiet corner. Comfortable lounges, an attic sitting room with TV and an office space provide flexible spaces for catching up or evening relaxation. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for preparing anything from a leisurely breakfast to a celebratory dinner, with plenty of room for everyone to dine together in the beautiful dining room.

Beautifully presented bedrooms offer doubles and a twin room, each with its own en suite bathroom. Thoughtfully furnished throughout with colourful artwork, antiques and carefully chosen furnishings, every room has its own unique charm.

The Grange is in a conservation area in the village of Marnhull, minutes from a village shop, post office and pub. This is Thomas Hardy country, and Marnhull is featured in Hardy's book 'Tess of the d'Urbevilles'. Ideally located for exploring Dorset, The Grange is also within easy reach of the historic towns of Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Sturminster Newton, each offering independent shops, markets and attractions. Beautiful countryside and charming villages are all around, and The Grange is a wonderful base for an escape.

- No glitter or confetti at the property or parties unless previously agreed
- Quiet Hours: The dog sitter will be staying next door in the Blue Studio and whilst the house is in secluded private garden, it is in a village.  Please respect your neighbours between 11pm-7am
- To keep fixtures and fittings in the same and proper condition as on arrival.

- We hate to include a disclaimer, but it is very important that you and everybody in your party understand that this is an old house with different floor levels and stone floors and unusual steps into the kitchen and on the terrace for example. Details will be provided on booking or earlier request.
