Located at the end of a long private drive on the Netherwood Estate, this beautiful house is surrounded by countryside, with an Elizabethan barn at the centre of the courtyard and a great sense of history in every room. Dating back to the 13th century, The Hyde is Grade II* listed and has been carefully restored with Historic England. The original character has been preserved beautifully, while modern comforts have been thoughtfully added. Despite its origins and history, this is a house for living in, rather than simply looking at. The main house sleeps 12 and the cottage, just across the courtyard, sleeps another 8 - most bedrooms have en suite facilities. Always let together, the houses give large families and groups of friends plenty of flexibility. The cottage has its own kitchen, sitting room and dining room, perfect for grandparents, teenagers or anyone who likes having space of their own. Step outside and there's plenty to enjoy. Gardens and grounds to explore, a private tennis court, estate walks to follow (great for dogs) and a hot tub for a soak at the end of the day.  The private lakes offer fishing, kayaking and wild swimming for those who like their country escape to come with adventure. The private narrow gauge railway offers something a little different too.  Everyone is the group is likely to gravitate towards the main kitchen, whether involved in cooking or simply keeping the cook company. There's masses of workspace, a large table for 12 and everything needed to feed a hungry crowd. For more formal occasions, the dining room seats 20. There are cosy corners too. The large sitting room has plenty of comfortable sofas and an open fire, while the separate TV room offers somewhere for the youngsters to escape to. Bedrooms are stylish and flexibly configured including a 4 poster for couples. The Hyde is also a suitable venue for a small corporate gathering. With Leominster, Tenbury Wells and Bromyard nearby, and the Malvern and Shropshire Hills within easy reach, there is plenty to do in the area.
