Tucked away in the picturesque Northamptonshire village of Nassington, The Lily Pad Cottages are a cluster of stone, purpose-built self catering holiday cottages near Oundle for UK short breaks and holidays, with the added bonus of an indoor swimming pool and function space too.

The cottages ideal central location (with easy access to A1, A14) makes us a perfect rural spot to get away from it all or meet up with friends and family from anywhere in the country.

Our group of cottages and apartments range in size from 1 to 5 bedrooms. At full capacity we are able to sleep nearly 50 guests in total across the property – making us an ideal solution for group looking to make large or complex bookings for weddings and events. This is also the perfect setting for groups of friends and multi generational groups, allowing private space in the cottages along with the opportunity to come together as a larger group too:

  • No 1 & 2, The Lily Pad: Sleep up to 6 in each property
  • No 4, 8 & 9, The Lily Pad: Sleep up to 4 in each property
  • No 6 & 7, The Lily Pad: Sleep up to 10 in each property including 5th bedroom with double sofa bed
  • No 5, The Lily Pad: Sleeps up to 5 including double sofa bed in living area and single futon bed in 1 bedroom
  • Capacity can be increased with put-you-up beds available on requests as well as travel cots, highchairs and stairgates also available on request. 

All our properties have dining and sitting spaces, many open plan, and designed for the number each sleeps. For larger groups, the function space is available - please ask.

Our minimum length of stay is just 2 nights (3 night minimum at peak times) and dogs are welcome in all of our properties. We even have plenty of outdoor space to exercise your dogs including miles of beautiful countryside walks and an enclosed paddock for off-lead play. There are also many pubs within easy walking distance that are happy to welcome your four legged friends. 

Our indoor pool can be booked for exclusive use for you and your party during your stay. And there's a games room with a pool table, table football and table tennis - perfect for the younger generation or friendly family competition.

Owners live on site and are available for any enquiries or assistance you may require planning and during your stay.

Ground floor bedrooms plus wet room areas. Some bathrooms feature handrails. Access to property from ground floor with no stairs.

Swimming Pool

Indoor heated swimming pool available for use. Available for exclusive hire.

Well equipped modern kitchens with oven, hobs, microwave, kettle, toaster and everything you need for catering on your break.

Indoor games area with pool table, table football and table tennis available for use.

Outdoor

Outdoor dining area with grill available for use as well as paddock area for exercising dogs.

Electric Vehicle Charging

New Type 2 Tethered plug with mode 3 cable available on site. Operated via pin.

Parking is available for all properties outside cottage doors.

Heating and Open Fires

Sustainable heating is featured throughout the property. Underfloor heating is also installed on ground floor properties.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in properties but outdoor smoking areas are available for guest use.

Booking Information

Flexible check-in / check-out times, as well as flexible length of stay and check-in days.  

Once booking is agreed management will email a reservation invoice which will include full payment details. Direct payment by BACS or cheque. Online bookings handled via the website require a 50% deposit at the point of booking – paid for via card.

Location

Nassington is located in the centre of the UK close to the local towns of Oundle, Peterborough and Cambridge as well as a range of quaint local market downs along the length of the Nene Valley. Nassington is ideally situated with easy access from the A14 and A1 as well as links to local train stations. 

On entering Nassington, please turn at the Black Horse pub onto Church Street. From here, take the second road on your right after the church, this is Northfield Lane. Drive to the bottom of Northfield Lane and turn left into the car park. You will see a sign for the Lily Pad on the front stone wall. Once you have turned on the gravel drive you will find The Lily Pad, No 8 being the first cottage on your right. Owners live on site at Frog Hall. The door of the cottage will be left unlocked for your arrival / check in.

  • Easy access by road via A14 / A1.

  • Supermarkets within 10 minute drive along with a well stocked local village shop in Nassington.
