This spacious 18th century cottage sits just a short walk from the centre of Ludlow, making it perfect for friends and families spending time together in this thriving and charming town, which has a reputation for fantastic food outlets and festivals. The Maltsters is also a great base for those who enjoy a more active weekend or holiday and are keen to explore the surrounding Shropshire Hills. Well behaved hens and stags are also welcome.

The house sleeps large groups comfortably, with a mix of flexible bedroom layouts including super kings, kings, twin and family rooms. One bedroom is located on the ground floor with its own en suite bathroom, ideal for anyone who prefers easy access. Three other bedrooms have en suite shower facilities, while a large bathroom serves the middle and family bedrooms.

With generous living spaces too, there’s room for everyone to spread out, and come together for dining and catching up on family news. At the heart of the house is a well equipped kitchen with space for breakfasts and catering for mealtimes, alongside a dining room that comfortably seats up to 14 people - a great spot for dinners long into the evening. An excellent local private chef is available to create a celebratory meal - please ask for details.

The sitting room is equally generous, with plenty of seating, a wood burning stove and a large TV, making it an easy place to relax after a day out.

Outside, the enclosed rear courtyard offers a private space for morning coffee or a barbecue. It’s safely enclosed and well suited to groups who enjoy being outdoors.

Ludlow town centre is a 4 minute walk away, with a Medieval castle and an excellent farm shop, as well as independent shops and a range of eateries. Beyond the town, there are walking and cycling routes, as well as important historic sites - plenty to choose from for a day trip across Shropshire.

With parking arranged nearby and everything within easy reach, this character filled cottage works well for lively family holidays, reunions with friends or shared celebrations all year round.

Located in Ludlow, a 4 minute walk from the town centre and 2 minutes walk from train station. Ideally positioned for Ludlow race course and golf course. 10 mins walk to  local leisure centre with excellent spa facilities. Ludlow boasts a Medieval Castle and St Laurence’s Church, nicknamed the Cathedral of the Marches. There are over 500 listed buildings in Ludlow and, in Corve Street, almost all of the buildings are listed.

Wild swimming – Blue Tits meet Sunday mornings 8 am at Dinham Weir by Csons cafe. The Mortimer Trail is 10 minutes away for walking and cycling, and it is on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. Driving – 1 hr from Shrewsbury, 40 mins from Hereford, 1 hour 25 minutes from Birmingham.
