The Grinding Barn sleeps 14
Embers barn sleeps 12
Please note that we only let the properties individually, so no groups over 14 in size please.

The Grinding Barn sleeps 14 guests in 7 individually designed bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished throughout, this barn is an ideal location for an utterly spoiling getaway. The enormous open plan living space is truly jaw-dropping and has a nearly 4m dining table, comfortably seating everyone with room for high chairs if needed. At one end, the roaring fire creates a cosy atmosphere for warming the toes after a bracing walk. There is a big TV screen for movie nights. Food preparation is a joy with a vast central island, acres of work surface in the extremely well-equipped kitchen.
Through 3 sets of sliding doors, there is a cedar clad hot tub on the terrace in the secure, private, professionally landscaped gardens. The flat lawn off the terrace is ideal for a game of croquet (croquet set provided). On a hot, summers day, enjoy the buzzing of the bees as they explore the lavender hedges spilling onto the paths. Between the barns there is a shared space where you will find a pétanque pitch under the plane trees and sunken trampoline. All cleverly designed to create a wonderful ambience, with plenty to offer both young and old.
Embers Barn sleeps 12 guests in 6 beautiful, super king ensuite bedrooms. Converted from a disused cowshed, this barn is a real gem, styled with a clever use of colour to give the feel of a boutique, country hotel. Walk into the spacious, open plan living space and you will immediately be struck by the huge open fire with stone surround, big sofas and stunning footstool at one end. There is a large farmhouse table and at the other end a modern and well-equipped kitchen. There's a useful pantry space off the kitchen with American style fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer and lots of empty shelves to store your food supplies for your stay. Our bedrooms are a particular delight – super comfortable zip and link divans ensure a good night’s sleep. Spacious, airy and individually styled, the bedrooms also offer some private space away from the group if needed.
To the south, 3 double French doors open out of the living area onto the enclosed and private terrace. Gates lead from the terrace onto the sunken trampoline lawn and up to the pétanque pitch. A further gate provides access to the shared outdoor games room. On the other side of the barn is a fully enclosed large garden with a lawn big enough for a kick around or for a spot of sunbathing. In the corner, there is a private cedar clad hot tub under the mature beech trees where you can listen to the birds and unwind.
Situated in the Vale of the White Horse, on the edge of the Cotswolds and ideally placed for daytrips to the dreaming spires of Oxford, the historic towns of Burford and Bourton on the Water, or the Cotswold wildlife park, Roves Farm and Millets Farm. The small village of Little Coxwell is tranquil and picturesque with many walks straight out of the gates. There is a village pub, The Eagle Tavern, a short 5 minute stroll through the village. You will find useful maps of our local walks in the barns. Walks down the Thames or on the ancient Uffington White Horse is a short drive. Many of our guests find the barns such a lovely place to stay, they are happy to sit back, relax and enjoy everything we have to offer.
