Due to the unspoilt and peaceful nature of The Old Farmyard, we do not accept hen, stag or similar parties for groups of younger people. Single sex groups may enquire.
The Grinding Barn offers 7 individually designed bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished throughout, this barn has an enormous open plan living space with a huge dining table comfortably seating everyone with room for high chairs too. The roaring fire creates a cosy atmosphere after a bracing walk. and there's a big TV screen for movie nights. Food prep is a joy with a central island in well-equipped kitchen.
Embers Barn has 6 beautiful, super king en suite bedrooms, and is styled to give the feel of a boutique, country hotel. The spacious, open plan living space has a huge open fire with stone surround and big sofas at one end, large farmhouse table and modern well-equipped kitchen. A pantry space has an American style fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer and lots of empty shelves to store supplies. Bedrooms are a delight – super comfortable zip link divans ensure a good night’s sleep.
The enclosed, private terraces lead to the shared outdoor games room. In the secure, private, professionally landscaped gardens there's a lawn big enough for a kick around, a game of croquet (croquet set provided) or for sunbathing, and private cedar clad hot tubs on the terrace or under the beech trees - listen to the birds and unwind. Between the barns there is a shared space with a pétanque pitch and sunken trampoline. All cleverly designed to create a wonderful ambience, with plenty to offer everyone.
Situated in the Vale of the White Horse on the edge of the Cotswolds and ideally placed for daytrips to Oxford, the historic towns of Burford and Bourton on the Water, or the Cotswold wildlife park. The small village of Little Coxwell is tranquil and picturesque with walks straight out of the gates. The village pub, The Eagle Tavern, is a short 5 minute stroll through the village. You will find useful maps of local walks in the barns - head to the Thames or the ancient Uffington White Horse. Or just sit back, relax and enjoy everything we have to offer.
