This stunning bow fronted Georgian country house has recently had a major facelift to create a fantastic family holiday house on the edge of the Forest of Dean, perfect for multi generational groups and friends getting together for a break away or to celebrate a special occasion. Close to Chepstow and Tintern, this is a fantastic base for exploring the Wye Valley which is popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts and filled with historic attractions. Bring up to 2 well behaved dogs. Private yet only 15 minutes from the M4/M5 with good rail connections.
The Old Rectory sits within south facing grounds, with a 4 acre wild flower meadow and surrounding gardens creating a private venue. Outside lounges, one under a gazebo and the other off the drawing room, are wonderful places to relax on warmer days or for a barbecue, with the option of hiring in a hot tub for added indulgence.
The choice of reception rooms makes this perfect for a multi generational gathering. Gather in the drawing room for drinks, or relax in the family lounge with a huge L shaped sofa and vast TV for a great cinema experience. The snug is a cosy room with TV and wood burner perfect for chilling out with a good book or somewhere for the youngsters to congregate. The kitchen is fully kitted out with an Aga, island and high end appliances, with a breakfast room table and chairs for less formal meals.
