Sleeps 11 people in total - 8 people in four double bedrooms (plus 3 extra guests on a double sofa bed in the cottage lounge and 2 double sofa beds in the pool room lounge).

Where could be more perfect to gather your friends and family together than a characterful thatched cottage in the pretty small harbour inlet of Bosham near Chichester, West Sussex. The Old Thatch cottage enjoys the best of both worlds, combining traditional 17th century features in the original cottage alongside the contemporary pool room which offers open-plan living and a large dining area.

The original cottage is an ambient cosy space with comfortable living areas for up to 6 guests. The adjacent pool room has a dining table seating 11 and plenty of relaxed seating. 

There is an outdoor swimming pool, which is covered by a hard plastic roof from September until June. The pool is only used for cold water swimming and will not be heated.  The cover helps to keep the water clean during the colder months, preventing excessive debris such as leaves and dirt from entering. It must remain in place at all times while the pool is in use. At its highest point, there is approximately 1 metre of space between the water’s surface and the underside of the cover, allowing for comfortable swimming while maintaining a warmer, and cleaner environment.

The large enclosed garden and patio has outdoor furniture and a barbecue, and is ideal for exercising the dogs with space for the children to run around.

There are 3 bedrooms in the cottage and 1 en-suite king room in the pool room area with 3 double sofa beds spread across both lounges for extra guests. Bathroom facilities are plentiful, including a ground floor shower room.

The Old Thatch has all you might need for your stay without going anywhere else. A gentle stroll will take you to Bosham Quay with 2 fabulous cafes, one selling the best ice cream! Bosham has some great pubs for a quiet pint and good food too. Chichester is a lovely town with historic attractions and museums, or enjoy a day on West Wittering sandy beach. Walkers and cyclists will flock to the trails around Chichester Harbour as well as the South Downs a short drive away. Goodwood is nearby for guests attending events.

- **TV and Music Facilities:** Cottage has a TV in lounge. Pool room has a TV and a DVD player.
- **Bedrooms:** 2 doubles and a king in the cottage. The pool room has a king with an en-suite and 3 double sofa beds.
- **Bathrooms:** 2 bathrooms in the cottage comprises ground floor shower room and 1st floor with bath and shower over. Pool room has ground floor shower and en suite.

## Booking Information

- All guests to undergo a private verification process. If this does not take place a refundable security deposit will be required.

- A deposit payment of 50% is required at the time of booking and balance payments are due 60 days prior to arrival.

- Well behaved dogs are very welcome.

- Long term rentals over 20 nights are welcome over Autumn and Winter months. The minimum stay is 2 nights for certain dates in the year.
