Set right in the heart of the Peak District National Park, The Peak Centre offers a fantastic base for school groups, guides, brownies and church groups, and also welcomes extended families and friends getting together for a holiday or special occasion. Corporate groups are able to access excellent opportuinities for teambuilding, and avid walkers and cyclists will love discovering the amazing tracks and trails of Edale and the Hope Valley.
The centre is divided into 2 stone built wings, each offering spacious and well equipped commercial kitchens and dining areas plus spacious living areas where your group can chill out and relax after a long day of activities. Grindslow can accommodate 46 guests for large group meals together. The John Champion Barn has an open fire in the activity space, a cosy space for a cooler evening. Beds are mostly in bunk rooms, with separate rooms for group leaders or those in a family group requiring a greater degree of privacy.Â
Broadlee is an extra facility at The Peak Centre, designed for activities and entertainment. There is a large sports hall for games and activities with sports and music equipment available, as well as a climbing wall. 2 meeting rooms are available for arts and crafts, plenary sessions or training. A wall mounted projector in Jagger's Room is suitable for for presentations or watching a film together.
The outdoor facilities at The Peak Centre offer playing fields, woodland for training exercises and exploring local wildlife, a pond for dipping and a camp fire circle ideal for toasting marshmallows. The Peak Centre also offers on and off site activities such as archery, orienteering and circus skills, and of course there is a wealth of other activities available locally.
Pop into the local village of Hope Valley for traditional pubs, or head to the imposing ruins of Peveril Castle on the hill above Castleton, also the only place where the semi precious mineral Blue John Stone can be mined.
