Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Three Gables, Newbridge, Isle of Wight, sleeps 2 - 10 in 5 bedrooms.

Minimum stay of 7 nights between June and early September unless last minute.

Within easy reach of the coast, sandy beaches and nearby towns, Three Gables on the Isle of Wight is the perfect base for friends and families wishing to spend time together and enjoy a relaxing break at any time of the year, taking advantage of local weather that’s often better than elsewhere in the UK.

Three Gables is a stylish and comfortable detached house in a quiet village location with stunning panoramic country views and a private enclosed garden. The house has a lovely light and airy feel and is well insulated to ensure it is warm and cosy on cooler days. Solar thermal panels provide the hot water during the summer months and, along with our solar photovoltaic panels, help reduce our carbon footprint. We also have a Zappi EV charger.

The garden is suitable for children, fenced to ensure safety, with a decked area, patio and lawns, sit and enjoy the views. A barbecue, outdoor furniture and games are provided.

With the island measuring just 23 miles long and 13 miles wide, the sea and spectacular heritage coastline is never far away. It is a place of rewarding pleasures, including rock pooling, fishing for crabs, building sandcastles, deckchairs on the sand, fossil hunting and dreaming. There are plenty to choose from and something to suit everyone in the family! Our nearest beach is Yarmouth, approx 3 miles, and a 5 mile drive (10 minutes) gets you to Brook or Compton, both spectacular, natural, sandy beaches, with no commercialism. A 30 minute drive gets you to Ventnor, Sandown or Shanklin beaches, which have shops, cafes and other attractions.

For the energetic, there are plenty of sporting opportunities including golfing, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing, paragliding, fishing and horse riding. The Island has over 300 walks with over 500 miles of well-maintained footpaths, the network of bridleways and footpaths which surround the area making this an ideal location for enjoying the countryside.

There is a shop 2 minutes walk away (open March - Nov) and a pub 1.5 miles away. It's an easy drive to local towns for shopping and the many tourist attractions around the island. The county town of Newport is only 6 miles away and historic Yarmouth just 3 miles.

The dining table seats 10, high chairs available too.

Spacious lounge with ample seating for 10. Large 48" TV with Freeview, Smart Blu-ray/DVD player, CD player with iPod dock.

TV and Music Facilities

48 " flatscreen TV, smart Blu-ray player for Internet. Stereo CD player with iPod dock.

Games Room

No games room, but table football in the entrance hall plus plenty of board games in the lounge and outside games and toys in the summer house.

Heating and Open Fires

Oil central heating, wood stove in the lounge with free logs.


Upstairs: master bed (en suite) is zip and link (either superking or 2 single beds), 1 double, 1 twin. Downstairs: 1 double (en suite), 1 twin.


Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.


4 bathrooms: upstairs master en suite; shower room with toilet and basin. Downstairs: family bathroom with bath, toilet, basin; double with en suite.

Children's Facilities

2 cots and a toddler bed available, please bring bedding for the cots. Stair gates and high chair, toys and games provided.


Veranda with table and chairs, barbecue and outdoor furniture to seat 10. Outdoor games provided. summer house with sofa and chairs to relax in.


Ample off road parking for 4 or more large cars. EV charger next to garage.


Smoking and vaping is not allowed in the house, ashtrays provided on the verandah.

Booking Information

June to September changeover day is Saturday with min stay of 7 nights; at all other times we are flexible.
A 35% deposit will secure your dates with the balance due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
Pets welcome £30 / pet, max 3.

  • 2 mins walk (open March-Nov). Shalfleet village store, 1.5 miles; supermarkets Newport, 6 miles.
  • Shalfleet, the New Inn, 1.5 miles; Calbourne, the Sun Inn, 1.2 miles.
  • Southampton.
  • Lymington.
  • There is a bus stop near the end of the drive, no 7 bus hourly to Newport or Freshwater/ Yarmouth.
