Tormaukin House is a private country retreat, perfect for special getaways with your nearest and dearest against a traditional backdrop of roaring fires, low beams and eclectic interiors. Once a drovers inn dating back to the 1720s, and long one of Scotland's most beloved country inns - famous regulars welcomed include Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Neil Armstrong and the late great Sean Connery. The outstanding natural beauty of Glendevon and the Highlands are just on your doorstep, with Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow and Perth all within 40 minutes.

Tormaukin House's bedrooms are all en-suite, and contain either double or king-size beds. The inn can be rented at our base rate to sleep up to 14 guests in our seven 'Olde Inn' bedrooms. If required to sleep up to 20 guests, the property also has 3 adjoining Coach-House annex bedrooms that are on the ground-floor and are at an additional charge. To sleep an additional 4 guests, we also have four extra single z-beds which can be added to the larger bedrooms for an additional charge.

The Tormaukin is available for self-catered stays, but to make your holiday truly effortless why not make use of our in-house private chef? We offer a range of individual meal options for breakfast, lunch or dinner, as well as fully-catered packages.

- Traditional bar, stocked on request to suit your requirements
- Grand dining room fwith a log-burning stove and seating for up to 24 people (or up to 50 at separate tables, only when our in-house catering is provided)
- 10 beautiful individually-styled bedrooms, all en suite (5 king-size beds, 5 doubles), including a golden bridal boudoir with roll-top bath
- Large kitchen complete with domestic appliances, including fridge, freezer, electric oven/hob, dishwasher
- Bright and airy garden room, the perfect spot on a sunny day
- Classic gentleman-club style games room with Chesterfields, antique pool table, darts, chess, draughts, poker and roulette
- Front patio garden and ample free parking for over 20 cars

Dog Friendly

Up to 6 dogs are welcome to join you, and all downstairs living areas (excluding the kitchen), and our 3 coach-house bedrooms are dog-friendly.

Accessibility

All our living spaces and 3 of our 'coach-house' annex bedrooms are on the ground-floor, and contain en suites with baths and overhead showers.

There is free WiFi available in the snug and bar.

The main house sleeps 14. 3 adjoining Coach-House annex bedrooms that are on the ground-floor and are an additional charge of £100 each room per night. To sleep an additional 4 guests, we also have four extra single z-beds which can be added to the larger bedrooms for an additional £50 per bed per night.

The Tormaukin is the perfect venue for a variety of events, including anniversaries, birthday celebrations, wedding ceremonies/receptions, baby showers, hen nights, and wakes. Any such events must be arranged in advance and hosted by ourselves, which includes our very own in-house private chef and private bartender.

In the glen are inspiring walking routes and scenery including reservoirs, woodlands, burns and peaks. Gleneagles is 10 minutes away, with over 100 golf courses within reach. The Tullibardine distillery is nearby for a whisky tour. Fish for trout at a range of places in the glen. Or head to the Microlight Academy or Knockhill Racing Circuit for adrenaline sports.
