Tower Wood sits within 12 acres of private grounds with stunning views of Lake Windermere and access to the Lake via the privately owned boathouse. Located four miles from Newby Bridge to the south and three miles from Bowness to the north, Tower Wood is ideally located for access to the heart of the Lake District for families, couples, youth groups and special occasions.

The Main House provides sole occupancy self-catering facilities including a fully equipped kitchen and dining area for all meal options, accommodation for up to 39 across 9 dormitory style rooms made up of singles and bunk beds and a large lounge space with an wood burner. WiFi is available throughout the house.

Windermere Lodge offers modern en suite accommodation for bed and breakfast; full English breakfast available. There are 13 twin and triple rooms, some of which can be connected to create family suites, all with tea and coffee facilities. 2 rooms are fully accessible with en suite wet rooms and bedroom to bathroom hoists. A communal lounge space is open to your use, taking in the woodland surroundings of the centre. WiFi is available throughout the building.

As an Outdoor Centre, Tower Wood can arrange outdoor activities as part of your stay, please make enquires when booking.

Facilities

The Main House kitchen provides a fully equipped kitchen with utensils, two 4 hob electric ovens, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
Windermere Lodge: open dining area, tables and chairs for up to 60. The Main House: tables and chairs for up to 39.
Windermere Lodge: communal lounge space with communal TV and comfy seating. The Main House: large lounge space with a wood burner, and conservatory.
Windermere Lodge: communal TV with Freeview. The Main House: Coniston room provides projector screen for hook-up to a laptop.
WiFi available in both buildings. Mobile signal is dependent on provider.
There is no games room.
The Main House offers a wood burner in the lounge area and central heating. Underfloor heating in Windermere Lodge.
Windermere Lodge: 13 rooms made up of twin and family en suite rooms. Main House: 8 rooms dormitory style, made up of single and bunk beds.
Windermere Lodge provides bedding and towels. Main House provides bedding only.
Windermere Lodge offers en suite pods with shower, toilet and sink. 2 fully accessible wet rooms. Main House provides communal toilets and showers.
Windermere Lodge is wheelchair accessible (across 2 floors), offering fully accessible bathrooms with hoists. The grounds are accessible for all.
No specific facilities for children, although families are very welcome.
12 acres of private grounds overlooking Lake Windermere. Picnic benches across the site.
There is no swimming pool.
Up to 20 private parking spaces.
No smoking policy.

Bed and breakfast prices are based on per room. A minimum of 2 nights is applicable. Arrival times are between 3pm and 9pm. Check out is 10am. A damage deposit is applicable.
