Hen Parties are our favourite groups but Ty Gwyn would be perfect for any special celebration or birthday.

Set in 4.5 acres, on the west coast of Wales - the view from the doorstep is of Barmouth, Abersoch, Pwllheli and Bardsey Island stretching out around the Cambrian Coastline.

We can make recommendations for live music, caterers, coctail making and gin supplies, Bollywood dance classes or any else you need to make your event one to remember! There are also a range of ace activities not too far away.

The Studio has two 6 metre glass doors that will open up to link the 2 lawned areas together, so you can take the celebrations (or yoga class) outside when the sun is shining. It also has a 100 m2 dancefloor, Sonos speakers, a fully mirrored wall and a genuine 70s glitter ball - let the party begin!

The front lawn has a 6m barbecue area and several large picnic benches, so you can enjoy really informal eating. We have the same to the rear garden too.

We have parking for 20+ cars on site and can also accommodate coaches if you all want to arrive together. For the more eco out there, we now have an electric car charger on site.

Facilities

WiFi

Mobile phone signal throughout. Fast WiFi via the 'hotel style' broadband system - you will have no problem streaming films in the cinema.

Disabled Facilities

The Silver Room is an accessible twin bedroom with en suite bathroom. We have portable, aluminium ramps for all entrances to Ty Gwyn.

Dog Friendly

I'm afraid we don't accept pets as we have guests that book with us who might have asthma or other allergies.

Kitchen

Modern, semi-commercial stainless steel kitchen with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 5 burner gas hob, 2 microwaves, walk-in pantry with 2 fridge freezers

Dining Room

Accommodate 30 in the one room - huge pine table sits 18 and a second table sits 12. The bar joins onto the dining room and both have sonos speakers.

Sitting Room

Really comfortable lounge with panoramic sea views. Comfortable leather sofas, wood burning stove, hi-fi system, 56" smart TV; quiet reading room off.

TV and Music Facilities

56" smart TV in the lounge. Cinema has a 3m screen and PS4. Sonos speakers throughout the house are all linked, this includes The Studio.

Games Room

On top floor with pool table and Sonos speaker. Outside: 5 a side football pitch with goals and basketball nets, table tennis, frisbee golf course.

Heating and Open Fires

Central heating throughout via our eco biomass boiler. We have a cast iron wood burning stove in the lounge and we provide the logs for this.

Bedrooms

13 bedrooms with flexible configurations. Ground floor accessible bedroom with en suite, double rooms, family rooms, twin rooms, 2,3,4 bed singles.

Linen

All bedding supplied, all hypoallergenic. We don't supply towels as guests will need to bring extras for hot tub and sauna. We do supply tea towels.

Bathrooms

Plenty of WCs and modern shower rooms across all 3 floors. Modern accessible en suite to the accessible Silver Bedroom on the ground floor.

Children's Facilities

No specific facilities.

Outdoor

Hot tub and sauna, BBQs, garden furniture, 5 a side football pitch with combo goals/basketball nets, 9 hole frisbee golf course.

Swimming Pool

There is no pool but we do have a wood burning hot tub and sauna.

Parking

Unlimited parking onsite, room to turn a coach around. Coach hire is popular to take groups to the many activities Wales offers. Electric car charger.

Smoking

No smoking in the house, outbuildings or The Studio. You are of course welcome to smoke outside if you wish.

We will need a £500 deposit to secure your booking and the balance 16 weeks prior to arrival.
We will also require a £600 cautionary deposit, payable 2 weeks prior to arrival.

Location

Ty Gwyn sits on a secluded hillside overlooking sea with views of Barmouth, Abersoch, Pwllheli and Bardsey Island from the doorstep – a perfect base with all the Snowdonia National Park has to offer.

There is a bus station in the village, a 5 minute walk away.
The station in the village is a 5 -10 min walk away - the line serves Birmingham & London. Buy Rail Rover ticket and spend the day exploring the coast or a return if you fancy a night out in Barmouth.
Barmouth: a great little market town with local shops, cinema, theatre and fab beach - park at the train station in Arthog and walk across the rail bridge if you fancy fish & chips on the beach.
Llwyngwril - our local village shop - 5 minute walk. A great little shop for any forgotten items or Tywyn has a bigger Co-Op.ASDA and Sainsburys both deliver to Ty Gwyn if you want a home delivery.
The Gathangharad (known locally as The Garth) is a 5 minute walk away. The landlady Jane can accommodate groups of 30 if you give her 24 hours notice.
Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham - Birmingham is well served by the regular train service.
