Our Canterbury campus is nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside just a few minutes drive from the ancient city of Canterbury. Set on 300 acres of beautiful parkland, our campus is well connected with buses and National Express stopping hourly throughout the day on campus. We're only a short walk from 2 train stations and a bus station, meaning you can be in London in under an hour.
Throughout the year we welcome a variety of groups to our Canterbury campus, from religious and special interest groups to summer language schools and leisure visitors. Our Conferences and Events team has over 30 years' experience delivering exceptional conferences, events and group accommodation for our clients and can help you plan your trip.

With around 5,000 rooms, we offer both B&B and self-catered accommodation to groups throughout the year. Our campus accommodation is graded 4-5* by VisitEngland, ensuring you have all you need during your stay.
We have a wide range of catering outlets and can provide tailored catering services. Whether it's a complimentary breakfast as a B&B guest, lunch or dinner options or simple refreshments, we can cater for all events and requirements.
Our campus has extensive facilities which our guests can use during their stay - sports and leisure facilities include a gym, indoor tennis and events arena, dance studio and sports pitches. Also a library, 2 Co-ops, catering outlets, cinema and theatre on campus.
Canterbury is famous for stunning medieval architecture, literary connections and religious significance - a vibrant destination offering a blend of culture, heritage and scenic beauty. Visit the historic Cathedral, one of the UNESCO's World Heritage Sites and the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury, and discover the role of the city in English history as a centre of Christian pilgrimage. Enjoy the River Stour by joining one of the punting river tours.
The city is home to a wide range of independent and high-street retail shops with lots of options for food and drink too - tour The Foundry's brewery or visit a traditional pub or tea room.
Local seaside towns include Whitstable and Folkestone, or take a trip to London with ease.

If you are looking to book accommodation for your group, please enquire and our team will be able to help you with your booking.
No deposit required. Balance due within 21 days of the final invoice.
Agreed numbers must be advised to the University at the time of verbal confirmation and will be identified on the contract. Final details, menus and special requests must be confirmed to the University at least 14 days prior to arrival. Amendments to guest numbers and/or arrangements must be confirmed to the University in writing.
In the unfortunate circumstances that you are forced to cancel the booking prior to the event, the following cancellation charges will apply:
- 52-26 weeks prior to event – 10%of total booking value charged
- 26-12 weeks prior to event – 50% charged
- 11-5 weeks prior to event – 80% charged
- Less than 4 weeks prior to event – 100% charged
The University reserves the right to approve any externally arranged entertainment, services or activities that you have arranged and cannot accept liability for any resultant cost.
The costs of repairing any damage caused to the property, contents or grounds by any of your guests must be reimbursed to the University by the Client.
No wines, spirits or foods brought into the University may be consumed unless specific alternative arrangements have been made.
Insurance can be arranged to protect you and your event against cancellation or abandonment with a minimum sum insured based on the anticipated income to the University. Insurance can also cover non-appearance of speakers or delegates, property damage at or to the venue or its contents, third party bodily injury and third party damage. The University does not accept liability for these.
