At the University of Kent Canterbury Campus, we welcome a wide variety of groups onto our campus every year, from international school groups and language schools to sports teams and tourist groups. Our campus is in a central location and is the perfect place to stay when you are exploring Canterbury, Kent and the South East of England.
For youth groups, we work with the organisers to ensure a teacher or adult over the age of 18 is located in each accommodation unit and for B&B accommodation there must be one person over 18 on each corridor. We also carry out safeguarding measures to ensure all youths are kept safe during their stay with us i.e. keeping boys and girls in separate accommodation blocks, etc.
We can offer a range of catering options for your group during your stay and have catering outlets on-site that you can visit. Key meals can be eaten in our dining halls on campus, with capacity for groups of up to 200, keeping your group safe in one place.
Our campus has an extensive range of facilities that youth groups can use during their stay. From our sports and leisure facilities including the gym, indoor tennis and events arena, dance studio, sports pitches, to the library, on-site shops, catering outlets, cinema and a theatre on campus.
The University of Kent is set on 300 acres of beautiful parkland, overlooking the historic city of Canterbury. Our campus has excellent public transport links, whether you are looking to travel by train, car, coach or bus. You can be in London within an hour and we’re only a short drive away from the Eurotunnel.
The Conferences and Events team have over 30 year’s experience working with groups of all sizes and can provide assistance throughout your trip. They can help meet your accommodation and catering needs, give advice on key attractions to visit during your stay and much more.
