The accommodation is over the first and second floors, offering excellent views of Melrose and the surrounding countryside. This is a very popular location and the quiet cul de sac position makes it perfect for all. There are walks literally from the door with the River Tweed only 5 minutes away. Guests can walk to the centre of the town within 5 minutes to sample the wide range of restaurants and pubs or even visit Melrose Theatre.

The large living areas in the property are light and airy maintaining original features such as open fireplaces. The beautiful drawing room with spectacular views over The Eildon Hills is perfect for groups to socialise with plenty of comfortable seating in front of a cosy fire. There is a smaller sitting room providing choice and privacy although it can be used as an extra bedroom with a double sofa bed for larger groups.

The kitchen at Upper Tweedmount is well equipped for guests to prepare a large group meal. It even has a dishwasher for convenience. Dining for 12 is at the large farmhouse style table, making it a really relaxing and sociable space for a family or friends celebration.

There are 5 bedrooms in total with doubles and twins, a great mix for friends and family groups. Extra sofa bed and futon accommodation is available by prior arrangement. Facilities are good across the apartment with 2 bathrooms.

At the rear of the property is a private enclosed garden where visitors can enjoy a barbecue while taking in the lovely views.

There is plenty to do locally with Melrose Abbey and Abbotsford House on the doorstep and walks up Eildon Hill just south of the village. If you are visiting in the spring, Melrose takes on a carnival atmosphere with the Rugby Sevens tournament. Lochcarron of Scotland Visitor Centre is just under 9 miles away and Harestanes Countryside Visitor Centre 12 miles from Upper Tweedmount.
