All year round the Main House sleeps up to 16 in 5 bedrooms (including sofa beds for 4) plus a small double in each of the Shepherds hut and the cute retro caravan, both heated and served by their own outdoor bathroom with a heated power shower.
Additional accommodation in a variety of luxurious glamping options positioned within the spacious grounds is available between April and October, taking capacity to 28. These include a yurt and 5 bell tents (sleeping 1 to 4 each) - all with heating, power and real bedding. Showers and loos are available in the grounds for glampers.
Originally designed by the Georgian architect John Nash, Velindre House combines history and a unique charm with exceptional comfort. Plentiful space includes 2 large reception rooms and a dining conservatory seating up to 28 guests, all wrapped in 5 acres of secluded grounds. Inside, there are huge sofas, colourful antique textiles, log fires and an Aga, creating a warm and sociable atmosphere throughout the year.
A large wood burning sauna is available free of charge - after a day exploring just relax, unwind and gaze at the stars.
Please note that there should be no outside noise after 10.45pm at weekends (10pm weekdays), out of respect for our neighbours.
Velindre House is particularly well suited to retreats and group experiences. The 9 metre yoga yurt accommodates up to 16 guests for yoga, sound baths, ceremonies, music and movement. Indoors there is practice space for up to 14 mats.
Guests also have access to a sound system, a well tuned piano and a collection of instruments.
Guests are welcome to self cater or your host can arrange a tailored feast. Wellness experiences and activities including massage, guided walks, foraging and craft workshops can also be arranged. Spot rare wildlife in the peaceful grounds and head to nearby beaches for dolphins, walking, wild swimming and surfing.
