These 4 holiday cottages in the Peak District are just the job for families and friends to gather for a weekend break, special celebration or a walking holiday. The central location makes Vicarage Farm Cottages ideal for those meeting up from different parts of the UK with easily accessible transport routes from the north and south.

The Piggery has a large dining space which can seat up to 15, perfect for everyone to eat together. The communal gazebo barbecue area is a lovely spot for drinks under cover next to an open fire or fire pit. Each cottage has a bistro table and chairs overlooking the courtyard, perfect for morning coffee in the sun. Vicarage Farm also has its own tennis court for some family friendly fun and competition.

The cottages are of a stylish open plan living design but with clearly identifiable areas. Kitchens are all well equipped and 3 have dishwashers to lighten the load. Lounges are comfortable with ample seating for the number of guests staying. 2 have wood burners and all have wide screen TVs. The Stable is located on the ground floor and is fully accessible, great for anyone less mobile. The 4 units provide options for mixed age groups and offer lots of choice for anyone who requires a little extra peace and privacy.

Accommodation is a mix of kings, doubles, twins and triples, ideal for a multi generation family gathering. All bedrooms are individually styled with modern soft furnishings. Bathroom facilities are plentiful throughout the 4 cottages with a combination of baths, showers and a wet room in The Stable.

Hikers and cyclists will love staying at Vicarage Farm Cottages to make the most of its fantastic location. Carsington Water is 50 minutes away for an adventurous circular walk or bike ride around the lake. The spa town of Buxton is a short drive away and definitely worth a look at its Georgian and Victorian architecture nestled in between independent shops and cafes. Pop into Poole's Cavern and Buxton Country Park while you are there and book in a 45 minute journey through underground passages.

Facilities

All cottages have well equipped kitchens including 4 ringed hobs and ovens. The Piggery, Cowshed and Hope Cross Stables all have dishwashers as well.
The Piggery has a social dining space for at least 15. The other cottages have dining for the number of guests. Outdoor gazebo and barbecue shared.
Each cottage has a lounge area with plenty of comfy seating. 2 have wood stoves and all have wide screen smart TVs.
There are wide screen smart TVs in the lounges. Each cottage has its own DAB radio.
WiFi is available throughout.
There is no games room.
The 4 cottages are centrally heated. There are wood stoves in The Piggery and The Cowshed. Shared outdoor fire pit.
Piggery: king+single, double, twin. Hayloft: double, trip bunk. Cowshed: king with single, double. Stable: king, twin. Ground floor. 3 en suites.
High quality bedding and bathroom towels are included.
Piggery: 1 upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower. Hayloft: bathroom with shower. Cowshed: 2 en suites. Stable: en suite and wet room.
The Stable is ground floor accessible accommodation and has a wet room. Single electric riser bed, wet room Wheelchair and a hoist.
Children's climbing frame with slide and swing outside. Travel cot and high chair available by prior arrangement.
Purpose built gazebo with furniture for barbecues and al fresco meals. Children's climbing frame and slide. Tennis court.
There is no pool.
Ample off road secure parking for each unit.
No smoking please.
Pets are not allowed.

Location

Located in the village of Wheston and 4 minutes from Tideswell, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Bakewell is 20 minutes, Buxton 15 minutes, Edale 20. Manchester just over an hour.
Buxton is 15 minutes away.
Buxton has Waitrose, Morrisons and Aldi. Tideswell has a Co-op Food.
Tideswell has The George, The Horse and Jockey, The Star Inn and The Merchants Yard.

Booking Information

Check in from 3pm and check out by 10am please. A 25% deposit is required to secure a booking and the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable £40 Good Housekeeping fee will be asked for each cottage. Min nights stay 3, for 2 night mid-week stays contact owner. Week changeover day is Friday.
