Villa Horta del Pilar is a large villa built in 1885 in colonial style, now fully restored and equipped for self catering group holidays. This large house is set within a 2.5 hectare site, which is completely fenced affording privacy to guests. At the villa there's much to enjoy outside too, including a 2000m2 garden, a large barbecue and wood-fired oven, a saltwater swimming pool, Jacuzzi and outside showers. In addition, the villa has a private orchard and guests are welcome to help themselves to seasonal fruits and vegetables.
The villa is located in the town of Arenys de Mar, a coastal town with a long-standing fishing tradition, and is only 5 minutes from the beach. Groups can enjoy sandy beaches, watersports, sea fishing, and a whole host of other activities in the area. Arenys de Mar itself is well-known as a second home for the Spanish living in Barcelona - a great place to chill out and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, which is only 45km away. With interesting architecture, great restaurants and a strong traditional culture, Arenys de Mar has plenty to offer - wander along the promenade, sample the bars and shops of the main street, La Riera, and shop at the Saturday market. Throughout the year, there are lots of leisure and cultural activities locally too.
Just next to the villa, there is a small horse range - we can organise a visit during your stay to feed the animals.
