A private chef, housekeepers and a dedicated House and Guest Manager are on hand throughout your stay at Villa Turquoise, anticipating what you need while preserving the rare pleasure of complete privacy. Nothing is too much trouble; our excellent chef can prepare family meals in local or western style using beautiful local produce, or create a dinner fit for a special celebration; the team can also organise a massage on the beach, a day on the water or other excursions to allow you to discover the beauty of the island of Zanzibar beyond the villa. Matemwe is the perfect base from which to explore Zanzibar - visit spice farms and Stone Town, sail traditional dhows, snorkel and dive the reefs, meet local fishermen. Or simply spend the day between the pool, garden and beach, with lunch on the deck by the sea.

The private pool sits within beautifully planted tropical gardens featuring palms and flowering plants, which also create secluded places to read, rest or simply listen to the sea. Beyond the garden, the beach stretches in front of the villa, with direct access to warm, clear waters and spectacular views across the Indian Ocean. From long, unhurried lunches overlooking the ocean to evening drinks as the light fades across the lagoon, outdoor life is truly special.

Designed for families and friends, including 3 generations of a family travelling together, the villa sleeps up to 14 guests across 5 spacious air conditioned bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom. 4 dining areas and 2 lounges create plenty of room to gather, while also allowing you to find a quiet corner when the mood calls for it.
