Big Holiday House near Leominster for Celebrations and Reunions

The Well House, Leominster, Herefordshire, sleeps 6-12 in 6 bedrooms.

In a previous life, The Well House was used for storing and drying the hops that were grown in the fields close by. Hops are still grown locally - check out the beer from the Wye Valley Brewery! The area abounds with cultural and historical sites and makes an ideal venue for touring, walking and cycling.

This original half timbered barn has been sympathetically restored with oak flooring and exposed beams throughout. Ceilings are high and rooms are light and airy. As you step into the hall, you are aware of the sense of space and light.

A spacious entrance lobby, with a convenient loo, leads to the large kitchen/dining area, snug & west wing on the right, very big living room & east wing on the left and stairs to master bedroom.

Family groups, friends, ex pats on home leave have all found the Well House ideal for the ultimate rural escape!

Facilities

The kitchen is equipped with granite work surfaces, a Rangemaster stove and a full range of kitchen gadgets.
The long oak dining table seats 12 - 14 comfortably. There is also a high chair available and some armchairs for relaxing in.
This has a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and an Inglenook fireplace with a Clearview wood-burner. There are 4 squashy sofas and four armchairs.
Stereo system, iPod docking station, plasma flat screen TV with DVD, VHS etc. plus Sky HD and WiFi.

There is a large Clearview wood burning stove in the sitting room to complement the central heating throughout.
There are 6 bedrooms - 3 with 6' beds and 3 twin rooms, 1 which can be linked to make a double. Fether & Black beds in all rooms.
White 100% cotton linen and towels provided.
One large ensuite bathroom upstairs, one walk in shower ensuite, one family bathroom and one extra shower cubicle downstairs.
The house is mostly on one level. There are a few shallow steps. Grab rails in all showers. Shower/bath stool available.
The garden is laid to lawn both front and back. Children can safely play whilst supervised in the back. A range of books, games and DVDs are available
At the back there is a lovely lawn and patio with table and seating for morning coffees, afternoon tea, and a drink by the barbecue.

There is parking for up to six cars on the drive at the front of the house.
No smoking in the house - ash trays are provided for use outside.
One or two well behaved dogs by arrangement.

The house lies close to the Mortimer Trail & Offa's Dyke Path, three National Trust properties & numerous award-winning pubs (one with Michelin star)
Leominster - 1 mile Hereford - 12 miles Ludlow - 10 miles
Leominster shops provide good local produce. There is a Morrisons, Coop and Aldi as well. Tesco, Ocado and Sainsburys deliver to the house.
Leominster has many pubs but the better pubs are in many of the villages nearby (see our web site)
