Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Wern Watkin, Brecon Beacons, Wales, sleeps 30 in 7 bedrooms.
Wern Watkin is a 5 star modern barn conversion specially designed for groups. It is in a remote location in the Brecon Beacons but easily accessible from the M4.
The bunkhouse provides a range of bunk-bedrooms, which are nearly all en-suite with a large inside and outdoor space for eating, meeting and hanging out. Opened in 2006 it is built to a high standard. Catering can be provided, or you can self-cater. There are barbecue facilities and a fire pit for evening entertainment.
The building itself is set in some woods high up on the mountainside and has ample space around it for evening and team building activities. Camping as an addition to the bunkhouse is also possible.
Within easy walking distance are opportunities to experience caving, climbing, mountain biking, abseiling and hill walking. Further away are canoeing and riding. We are in one of the DOE expedition areas.
We are near the Blaenavon World Heritage site as well as in the National Park and have on our own land a range of habitats for field studies/ecology.
Run in conjunction with the YHA we have a full range of risk-assessments and are very familiar with issues of taking youth groups on adventurous trips.
