Good transport links, including high speed rail to London, make this a great choice for getting together with loved ones travelling from different places in the UK.
This luxury holiday house near Margate breathes grandeur and luxury. The attractive entrance hall leads into all of the reception rooms and nothing disappoints. A gorgeous bespoke and very well equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing group meals to eat together in the formal dining room or al fresco on the patio. 2 lounges and a library provide choices for mixed age groups to chill out or as corporate breakaway spaces. The main lounge has lots of sumptuous seating, a warming wood stove and large picture windows to make the most of those sea views at any time of day. The smaller lounge or cinema room is a cosier space with a comfy sofa and 65" TV. The library is a little sanctuary away from the bustle to catch up on some reading or to play a board game. The patio area accessed though French doors is the perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon tea and evening drinks. So many opportunities to relax.
The 9 bedrooms are individually designed with a combination of zip and link superkings or twins. Most of the accommodation has full or partial views out to sea and all are elegantly decorated with opulent soft furnishings. En suite bathrooms have magnificent roll top baths and contemporary showers.
West Bay and St Mildred's Bay, both with sandy beaches, are well within walking distance of the house and just the ticket for a day by the sea. Children can play safely in the clear waters with a gently sloping incline and when the tide is out there are the rockpools to examine. The traditional resort of Margate is a short distance away but worth a visit to see Margate Caves, the Shell Grotto or Dreamland Vintage Fair and then pick up some fish and chips for supper.
