Originally a Elizabethan estate, the farmhouse, 2 cottages and facilities are full of character and beautifully decorated, offering the perfect setting for hen groups, get togethers, celebrations or family holidays in Devon on the edge of Exmoor.

The farmhouse offers a spacious modern kitchen with big range cooker and dining room or breakfast room to sit 8 to 10 and also an adjoining Garden Room can also sit up to 20 guests comfortably, so the whole group can eat together.

The farmhouse and cottages are set amongst a magical inner and outer courtyard garden, and play area, further encircled by meadows, orchard, lakes and forest. Lots of spaces for summer barbecues and outdoor fires and activities and celebrations big and small.

In the past few years we have provided a wonderful setting for a range of groups offering activities on site from canoeing, archery to yoga and massage. We can also help to organise things off site: coasteering, climbing and cycling.

Relax and unwind in the Health Suite in the indoor hot tub and sauna, or in the outdoor spa with meadow and lake views. Alternatively why not book a yoga session (group or individual) in the yoga barn, a holistic massage or choose from a range of other treatments available.

For those preferring the outdoors, nature trails meander through the grounds and woodland, the lakes offers Canadian canoeing sessions and coarse fishing. Cycle trails are readily accessible, and a small selection of bikes are available to hire.

From Whitechapel Cottages, it is easy to enjoy all that the area has to offer - some of the best surfing beaches, the rugged beauty of the Exmoor National Park, delightful country pubs.
