It is perfectly set up for groups and families with 10 immaculate bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a grand dining hall (that used to be an 18th century ball room - and is perfect for murder-mystery/'Traitors' themed evenings) as well as four separate reception rooms. Just 15 minutes from Bristol Airport and only 2.5 hours away from London, the house is a mile from Winscombe Village with local shops and pubs. Of great attraction is the variety of walks and outdoor adventures in the nearby vicinity - including the National Trust 'Crook Peak' trail at the bottom of the road. The award-winning indoor spa facility with heated pool, sauna, hot-tub, male/female changing rooms sits under a vast lawned roof-terrace overlooking the picturesque Mendip Hills (and the private tennis court) and is capped with its own putting green! The grounds include three separate manicured lawns, a private nature trail with kids play area and trampoline as well as two outdoor dining areas including a barbecue and pizza oven. Inside the house, the 10 bedrooms are individually designed with full commitment to luxury and relaxation. The walls are covered in commissioned artwork and the house motto of 'Adventurously Traditional' blends the historical and classical roots of the estate with some modern enhancements. The snooker room is home to a sports display that includes a range of iconic memorabilia collected primarily from charity auctions, including a Muhammad Ali glove and Jack Nicklaus's last worn Major cap! The house sleeps 20 but has capacity for an additional 4 with sofa beds. We offer a low-occupancy reduced rent in low season for up to 12 guests in 6 bedrooms. We are also blessed with our own hospitality team that can tailor stays according to guest needs by tapping into our trusted local network.
