Once serving as accommodation for sailors, this historic structure has been meticulously transformed to meet the needs of the contemporary traveler while celebrating its rich heritage. The oak timbers that once reinforced formidable ships and adorned ancient churches are now repurposed into the elegant furnishings that adorn the hostel's premises. Even the bar, where guests can enjoy a selection of local beers, boasts a top crafted from wood that is over 500 years old! Ideally situated in the vibrant Tower Hamlets area, Wombat's City Hostel is adjacent to iconic landmarks such as Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Guests can delight in nearby charming markets, traditional pubs, and numerous sites of historical interest. A brief stroll brings visitors to the trendy locales of Shoreditch, known for its dynamic street art, the bustling nightlife of Hoxton Square and Old Street, and the ever-popular Brick Lane. Conveniently located near public transport links, including Aldgate East and Tower Hill underground and DLR stations, all of London’s famed attractions are within easy reach. After a day filled with London adventures, guests can retreat to the hostel's warm embrace. All rooms offer en suite facilities and personal lockers for comfort and security. Please note guests must be 18 or over. For group rates the minimum group size is 15. ## Facilities - **Dog Friendly:** Service dogs only. - **WiFi:** WiFi available. - **Bedrooms:** 4 to 8 bed dorms, double rooms. The dormitories are equipped with bunk beds. There is a locker for each bed in the dorm. - **Bathrooms:** All rooms have en suite bathrooms. - **Kitchen:** Shared guest kitchen available for self catering. Breakfast is available from 7am to 10.30am. - **Sitting Room:** Common areas for socialising with your group and others. Bar open daily from 6pm. - **Dining Room:** Dining area available - **Linen:** Bed linen included.
