Woodlands, Giggleswick, North Yorkshire

2 - 24 12 Bedrooms 20 Dining

Large dog friendly period house sleeping 24 for family special occasions and weekends with friends near Settle in the Dales

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Woodlands, Giggleswick, North Yorkshire, sleeps 2 - 24 in 12 bedrooms.

Built in 1905 as a gentlemen’s country residence, Woodlands sits at the end of a quiet road 10 minutes walk from picturesque Giggleswick village. Beyond its gates the Yorkshire Dales National Park stretches for miles. The house is perfect for large family gatherings and holidays, grand enough to suit a special occasion but easy to spend time in with the family too.

The house does feel like a step back in time, full of period features and evocative of the Edwardian era when it was built - it's a great house for murder mysteries. The terrace and gardens have breathtaking views of the valley, and the steam trains running most weeks are an extra visual treat.

The enchanting Lord’s Wood borders the house to the west, through which you can walk to Giggleswick Scar, a dramatic limestone cliff, or the easier going lower footpath leaves woodlands to the north for Stainforth Falls and beyond.

Enjoy the spectacular views from the terrace over the Ribble Valley to the east, or a 15 minute walk down The Mains takes you to the pretty market town of Settle, with shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs, as well as a theatre and swimming pool.

Catch up with friends and family in comfort - the house was recently described by a guest as the best house they'd stayed in.
