Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends. Wressle Grange Farmhouse, Howden, Yorkshire, sleeps 7 - 14 in 7 bedrooms.

The farmhouse is a Visit England gold award large property set over 3 floors and consists of 7 bedrooms, 3 of which are en suite. A perfect north/ south meeting point, just off the M62. There's plenty of space making this ideal for multi generational family groups, large groups of friends and for celebrations and special occasion weekends.  REYTA finalists 2022 and 2023 for best self catering accommodation. The second floor bedroom has 2 large single beds. When booking select 12 adults & 2 children. 2 dogs are welcome.

The ground floor consists of a kitchen, separate dining room to seat 14, snug, lounge, downstairs toilet and formal sitting room. There's also a games room for some friendly competition with a 6 ft slate pool table.

Upstairs the master bedroom has a superking bed and en suite, 2 double rooms and another superking size bedroom (can be made as a twin by request). There is a large family bathroom which includes a bath and wet room shower.

The top floor consists of a mezzanine level, 2 en suite bedrooms (1 double & 1 king) and a small twin room, ideal for children, this room has 2 x 3ft single beds.

The property has a stunning, large garden, patio area, fire pit, goal posts, table tennis table and lawn where children and adults can play. The tarmac and paved drive is popular with children for playing on the pedal tractors, also provided.

Grange Farm Cottages, Wressle (listed separately) is separate accommodation with its own drive and access. (3 separate cottages sleeping up to 4 in each, 12 in total).

The farmhouse is situated in Wressle village on our working arable farm, just a few minutes from the beautiful market town of Howden (J37 M62). York (30 minute drive/20 minutes to the nearest Park & Ride bus at McArthur Glen), Leeds, Beverley, Hull, Doncaster and Selby are all less than an hours drive away. Bridlington is 1 hour away. We are very spoilt with lots to do in the area all within easy reach. A list of suggested places to visit is available for confirmed bookings. The owner lives nearby and is available to help with any questions you may have during your stay.

Dog Friendly

2 dogs are very welcome by arrangement. We ask that they stay downstairs and are not left unattended. There is an outdoor dog run and lovely walks.

Hot tub is private tucked around the back of the house on the patio. With walled shelter, a real sun trap and sofa seating in summer.

Excellent super fast fibre broadband.

Kitchen

Dishwasher, microwave, slow cooker, magi mix and Rangemaster cooker are all provided.

A separate room off the kitchen containing a dining table seating up to 14.

Sitting Room

Formal room has 2 sofas (1 large Barker and Stonehouse 4 and 3 seater), chair. Samsung TV/Sonos sound bar. Large 2nd lounge with TV and sofas for 14.

TV and Music Facilities

New Samsung Smart TVs in both lounges, one with Sonos sound bar.

Games Room

6ft slate pool table and games.

Heating and Open Fires

2 wood burners. Heating via biomass boiler.

Bedrooms

2 superking, 1 king, 3 doubles, 1 twin (3ft singles). The superking can be made into singles on request (min 1 weeks notice). 3 rooms en suite.

Linen

Linen and towels are provided.

Bathrooms

3 en suites with showers. 1 large family bathroom with bath and wetroom shower and underfloor heating.

Children's Facilities

2 highchairs, 2 travel cots are provided (no bedding). Outdoor games provided including connect 4, Jenga and pedal toys. Wendy house and goalposts.

Garden furniture, hot tub, barbecue and fire pit are provided. Patio and large garden.

Lots of private on site parking available.

No smoking or vaping allowed inside the property.

Booking is via our website, direct for best rates. Friday and Monday check ins. 3 night min stay in peak season.

Location

Wressle Grange is very accessible, 10 mins from Howden J37 M62. Ideal meet up halfway north/south base. York is half an hour. Excellent train links from Howden station to Leeds, London and Hull.

  • Howden is our nearest town. Goole and Selby are 20 minutes away and York is 20 miles / 35 minute drive.
  • Howden or Bubwith, both a 10 minute drive.
  • Howden or Bubwith both a 10 minute drive away.
  • Doncaster Sheffield.
  • Wressle station is within walking distance, however there are not many services. Howden is 10 minutes away and has lots of excellent rail links.
