This fabulous Wye Valley accommodation takes the term bunkhouse to a whole new level. A converted chapel has produced a cool, contemporary and comfortable space alongside stunning traditional features. Designed with the environment in mind, with a wood pelIet boiler and rainwater collection system. Ideal for all kinds of groups, and the perfect base for a mid week break for keen walkers, cyclists or canoeists - with Wye Valley Canoes operating from the same site, for canoe or kayak hire.

Right next to the River Wye, this is an outdoor enthusiast's playground. Small companies can also escape the workplace for some creative thinking time, and to make the most of the surrounding mountains and rivers for team building activities.

The kitchen diner is a lovely sociable room for eating together. The kitchen is quite small but functional, or larger meals can be arranged with outside caterers. Large sofas in the lounge provide comfort for chilling out next to a roaring fire and making plans, or catching a film on the huge TV. A reminder of the building's history are floor to ceiling arched windows allowing light to flood in and giving views of the pretty countryside. The ground floor games area can be cleared for group activities.

There's a quirky central pipe slide running from the top to ground floor at Wye Valley Bunkhouse - a great talking point and popular with playful kids of all ages. The bunkhouse is accessible with ramp access at all levels and there's a lift to the top floor - so no issues for anyone less mobile either.

Accommodation is largely dorm style with single bunks although there is a separate double. There are 3 bathrooms with shared facilities.

Wye Valley Bunkhouse in Glasbury benefits from a fantastic location close to the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains with no end of fabulous cycling and hiking trails. Hay-on-Wye, the town of books, is a 5 minute drive away, lovely for a wander at any time but especially popular when the literature festival takes place at the end of May each year.
