Xyloporta in the north of Zakynthos, sleeps up to 15 and is perfect for multigenerational family holidays or for 2 or 3 families coming together. We also accommodate yoga retreats, art workshops and groups of walkers, and it is excellent for parties and celebration.

There are beautiful walks into the hills and around the coast, cycling routes to explore and simple tavernas to enjoy. The nearest beach is about 7 minutes away by car (or a 30 minute walk) and the nearest restaurant a 10 minute walk. There is plenty to explore and visit (the local winery, beaches, walks over the hills, Cephalonia) so a car is essential.
Over 100 years old, renovated in 2016 and currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, Xyloporta is unique in being one of the few traditional, rural properties on the island. It is a "hamlet" of small one-storey cottages allowing each guest their own entrance and terrace area. The property is secluded and peaceful, at the end of a quiet track and surrounded on 2 sides by olive groves and a landscaped garden area. Â
The cottages have similar simple interiors but each one is individual in size and shape, and each has an en suite bathroom or wetroom. The family room has a child's bedroom off the main room so parents of a young child can be close by. There is WiFi, and air conditioning in the bedrooms.
Based broadly around the central courtyard shaded by plumbago and olive trees, the main living eating and cooking area is spacious with 2 very large windows that can be fully opened, allowing for the a cool breeze to blow through. The kitchen is open plan and designed for use by large parties. The indoor seating area is generous, based before a large fireplace ensuring this property works well in the spring and autumn as well as high summer. There are two dining areas outdoors, one beside the bbq and one overlooking the sea.
The large terrace is half-shaded by the pergola and beyond is the infinity-edged pool dropping into the olive groves below and a smaller, shaded pool for children, shallow enough for little ones to splash in safely. Both the pool terrace and the barbecue area can seat 15 at a large table.
