Fairthorne is a very large site that includes activities on and off the water. There is a lake used for kayaking and raft building as well as the River Hamble which is used for sailing and giggs.
Our open areas allow for activities such as climbing, abseiling, Jacob's Ladder, crate challenge, bouncy pillow, golf, basketball, and Towers. In the woodland areas are activities like team challenge, blind trail, obstacle course, Big Initiatives Test, den building and fire making.

Ben's House is a purpose built block opened in 2009 by HRH The Princess Royal. It is a 3 wing, single storey, secure building enabling flexibility of use for several groups. There are 3 outside covered briefing areas and the landscaping includes child friendly and disabled access paths.
Hield House is a 3 floor building, enabling flexibility of use for different groups. There is secure entry to each floor, briefing areas on each, with seating and tea and coffee facilities.
Pre-erected YMCA tents accommodate 6 - 8 per tents with wooden floors for children and young people. There are 5 dedicated tent villages with a communal group marquee for each with lighting, fridge, chairs and power.
