Yr Hafod welcomes all educational groups (formal and informal) as well as larger family/friend groups for a holiday or weekend break. Come to Eryri (Snowdonia) and experience fantastic scenery, great hiking and many other outdoor activities on the doorstep, for leisure, teambuilding or youth group adventures. The kitchen has a fantastic gas cooker range with 6 burners and a large oven, enabling straightforward self catering for a large group. There is a microwave, toaster, full set of catering pots, pans and roasting trays, as well as cutlery and crockery for 36. There are two industrial sinks for washing up - we supply washing up consumables and bin liners but these can be used up quickly by a previous group so please bring some. We do not supply tea towels or toilet paper. The dining room has plenty of space for group dining, and is able to seat up to 36 at once - perfect for gathering for dinner. The tables and chairs can be folded away to make the space easy to clean and available for other activities. The dining room also houses the big wall kettle for teas and coffees. The coin meter in the dining room takes £1 coins and provides 4 hours of electricity (mainly for the wall kettle so it is not left on all week between bookings). The lounge doubles as a lecture space with white board and pull down projector screen. There is WiFi at Yr Hafod too. Sleeping arrangements are simple but comfortable, across 4 dormitories, all with bunk beds. There is one 12 bed dorm, two 8 bed dorms and a smaller 4 bed dorm. There are two bathrooms: the first has one shower, two toilets and three sinks; the second has two showers, two toilets and four sinks. There's a handy drying room and an outside porch with boot rack for outdoor gear. The hostel is run by volunteers without a cleaning service. Guests must leave the hostel in a clean and tidy condition for the next users. No bedding or towels are provided. It is recommended to bring a single sheet, sleeping bag/duvet and pillow for the stay. ## Facilities - **Accessibility:** There is stepped access into the hostel with handrails.
