Raven House Farm dates back over 800 years, though most of it is 17th century. It is spacious, full of character and perfect for bringing together family and friends for big celebrations, business breaks or just to chill out and forget the world. Close to many attractions and the beautiful countryside of both the Peak District and Sherwood Forest, Raven House Farm is easily accessed from all parts of the country with great road links nearby.
The entrance hall leads to the large lounge with leather sofas and large TV and Bose sound system. The conservatory has lots of seating and looks out onto the patio and garden. The dining room has a fully beamed ceiling, exposed walls and a wood burner. Off this room is the kitchen, with a breakfast bar area and all essential equipment. The house is fully carpeted with the hall, dining room and conservatory having reclaimed oak floors.
The 9 bedrooms provide spacious accommodation accessed by 2 sets of stairs. The Master bedroom, decorated in classical style with a King sized bed, has views to the front and rear of the house, as well as an en-suite with shower. The Study has exposed stone and brick walls with 3 single beds, whilst the Monet and the Sewing room each have a king and an additional single bed. The Dragon room has a sleigh Bed and Attic bedroom a double bed, Alexina's room has a single bed.
The far side of the house, is Raven's Wing, with 2 ground floor bedrooms, a Double room with vintage 1950s bed and Bunkbed room, both serviced by a newly installed shower room with toilet and hand basin. There is also a small TV room with 50" Smart TV.
Bedrooms are accessed on different levels by small flights of stairs. There are 2 bathrooms; the main bathroom has a designer shower and bath, hand basin, toilet. The second recently refurbished bathroom a large shower, hand basin and toilet. We provide all linen and towels.
There are spacious rear gardens with night-time lighting, ornamental borders, a main lawn, patio areas, Teak seating, fire pit area with seating and a built-in BBQ. The courtyard in front of the house has ample parking and at night is floodlit with colour changing floodlights.
