Roswarne is a lovely house for a large group to visit. It has just finished a 10 year programme of serious repair and won several awards in the process! It's now ready for celebrations of all kinds, including weddings, and available for family groups and business events too.
This stunning holiday house near St Ives has a very impressive marble hall with red granite columns as you come through the double front doors. There is a large ballroom (with grand piano), which is ideal for parties or dancing.
There is also a fully stocked library, a massive drawing room, and a music room study with a domed ceiling. The main part of the house has a beautiful orangery which is used as the dining room. This room gets the sun all day and the catering kitchen with Aga is close by. The Blue Room bedroom is on the ground floor, and there are 2 bathrooms and 2 shower rooms downstairs too.
The elliptical staircase leads to the beautiful first floor landing with amazing rose roof-light. Off here the terrace has a large west facing first floor balcony (for drinks in the sunset) with a table and chairs, 2 huge double bedrooms, a single bedroom and sitting room, plus one bath and another shower room, also a kitchen for tea or coffee. Another door leads to the south facing suite with 3 double bedrooms, a shower room and a kitchen. All white linens with towels provided.
There is also a special loft suite with a double but it's up a 2 storey spiral staircase - all very architectural!
Outside there is a rose garden with seating for 8 plus a number of folding chairs - perfect for if the weather is fine and you'd like to sit in the garden. There's plenty of parking too.
With a setting just 5 miles from the coast on St Ives Bay, this is a wonderful house for getting friends and family together for a weekend, a holiday or to celebrate a special occasion. Lovely beaches, the delights of arty St Ives and plenty of local attractions await, along with many quality restaurants to sample.
