In times of formulaic packages, the Castelnau represents a return to choice and imagination.
The 180m² monumental vaulted stable block comfortably takes 180 seated diners while opening onto a grassy terrace with stunning views which can allow a further seating capacity of 200, perfect for an aperitif, buffet, spit roast or anything you may wish to conceive.
The Castelnau has it’s own church on site which can comfortably accommodate 120, or perhaps you would prefer to hold your ceremony outside on one of the terraces with rolling Gascon countryside as far as the eye can see. Whether you dream of violins or harps or acoustic guitars, or you would prefer to kick off your shoes and dance the night away, a wealth of quality acts and musicians can be arranged to provide you with the ideal entertainment to suit your special occasion.
Our wedding caterer is a Michelin starred chef who is able to provide the perfect menu for your special event, and who can also tantalise you with authentic local cuisine for relaxed meals, picnics or barbecues if you wish. The possibilities are limitless but rest assured, you will eat and drink well in this gastronomic corner of the world.
With 15 beautifuly renovated and unique cottages/houses to share amongst your guests, you’ll find a total of 46 bedrooms that can sleep up to 107 onsite, sharing 10 drawing rooms, 8 dining rooms, 15 gardens, an outdoor swimming pool, and a variety of terraces to discover… Each cottage/house boasts it’s own garden with furniture and BBQ equipment. Throughout the stronghold there are a multitude of enchanting areas to eat, play or simply relax. Beneath the village walls, the outdoor pool is surrounded by wooden decking and stunning valley views and just outside the entrance to the property there is also a tennis court and parking available.

Dog Friendly

Although we are pet lovers, we are not able to accommodate them. We do have goats, chickens and ducks here though for guests to visit!

Disabled Facilities

The village outdoor spaces are disabled friendly but there are currently no specific facilities/houses for disabled guests to access.

WiFi

Every cottage/house has its own WiFi, with exception to Le Cercle.

Kitchen

Unlike a typical hotel or Chateau, the houses each have their own kitchens which are fully equipped.

Dining Room

Each house has a dining room and an individual garden for eating in or out. Group dining is in the impressive vaulted banquet hall and/or Green Cube.

Sitting Room

Each of the 15 houses has a comfortable lounge area.

TV and Music Facilities

Our cottages/houses don't have TVs, although some have stereos.

Heating and Open Fires

Every cottage/house has its own open fire.

Bedrooms

Total of 46 bedrooms that can sleep up to 107 guests: or 46 guests if one per bedroom; or 86 guests if one per bed.

Linen

All linen and towels are provided.

Bathrooms

We have 33 bathrooms with a mixture of baths and showers.

Children's Facilities

Baby cots are available on request as well as high chairs for dining. Babysitters can also be arranged on request.

Outdoor

Each house has its own garden and barbecue space, as well as outdoor furniture so you can sit and enjoy the views, from sunrise to sunset.

Swimming Pool

Beneath the village walls you'll find our outdoor pool with wooden decking, surrounding by the stunning Gascony valley views.

Parking

Parking is available at the entrance of the village walls.

Smoking

Smoking indoors is not permitted. However ashtrays are provided throughout the village for outdoor smoking.

For accommodation of up to 84 guests on site and wedding/event planner services are:

Please note that The Castelnau is rented with full exclusivity only, with a minimum 3 night stay basis.

Rental of all the village common areas only (where you can include only the number of bedrooms you wish/need):

for 3 nights: 9,000 Euros

nightly rate added per bedroom: 210 Euros (starting 2025)

Set in the heart of the historic land of Gascony in the south west of France, the Castelnau des Fieumarcon is built on a rocky spur and dominates the beautiful country side.

Nearest town is Lectoure - 7 km away.
La Romieu - 3 km away - offers restaurants, boulangerie and shop.
La Romieu has the closest restaurants but there are many more to choose from in nearby Lectoure or Condom
The nearest airport is Toulouse (100km). Further airports to be found in Bordeaux, Pau, Tarbes and Agen.
Trains are available from Agen (35km).
