The accommodation consists of 2 buildings with leader rooms near to dorms and 10 bell tents in the glamping area. Safeguarding is a priority at Grafham Water Centre so that each group will have sole occupancy of the accommodation they hire, although there may be other groups in different blocks. Dormitories can have between 2 and 5 beds. There are 6 mattresses in each bell tent. For anyone who can’t manage the stairs there is a lift and accessible wet room.
Grafham Water Centre does not offer self catering although there are kitchens with tea and coffee making facilities in the main buildings and an outdoor area for glamping. The large on site dining room is a great place for everyone to sit down and eat together, chatting about the day’s adventures over a fuel packed breakfast or dinner. The centre buildings have lounges with TV and a games room for down time in the evenings. There is also a large presentation space that works well for gathering the kids together for a quiz or watching a film. There’s a common room too with comfortable seating.
There is a full range of adventure activities on site from rock climbing, high ropes, orienteering, mountain biking and power kite flying. Water sports are also available including kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and canoeing. The on-site sports hall is available as a separate hire. There is lots of space for youngsters to run around on site as well as woodlands to be explored and camp fire pits for toasting marshmallows.
