A fantastic property in the heart of the beautiful Charente, available for exclusive use for family holidays, group getaways, or retreats.
The main house has 6 large and comfortable bedrooms, 2 en suite, and there are 2 bedrooms in the attached cottage. Total sleeping capacity is 17 people.
There is a large open living room in the main house with comfortable seating, TV, DVD, fireplace, and a separate living room in the cottage.
The property is private and can only be reached via a 200-metre tree-lined drive. The large attractive gardens provide plenty of space to relax with numerous quiet areas. There are elegant formal gardens in the front with beautiful topiary hedges, whilst the spacious open gardens at the back are perfect for fun or relaxation. All set against the backdrop of the amazing Charente countryside.
In 2020, Le Manoir had a new large outdoor salt filtration swimming pool – 12m x 6m.
Put simply, a saltwater pool is one that has been chlorinated, by means of salt chlorination and not traditional harsh liquid or solid chemical chlorine.
This salt chlorination gives you clean, clear and luxuriously soft water.
The pool has a wide terrace for sun loungers and parasols for soaking up the wonderful Charentaise sun.
There is also a large function room available for retreats, yoga courses, or as a general games room for holiday groups.
We offer the option of catering over part or all of your stay.
In the nearby area, there are plenty of activities available for all interests. The lakes at Verneuil include a sandy beach, bar/restaurant, canoeing, sailing etc and mini-golf. Other attractions generally in the vicinity include an adventure park, Velo rail, kayaking on local rivers, several golf courses, historical site-seeing such as a visit to the Chateau of La Rochefoucauld, wine and cognac tasting, or walking or cycling in the countryside. There is also a vintage car rally in September and the comic book festival in January in Angouleme.
The nearby town of Chasseneuil is well catered with banks, supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants and cinema.
