Sarah's Cottage sleeps 8

These cottages enjoy a fantastic position on the coast in Pembrokeshire, with the Coastal Path running past the door. Ideal for a long weekend winter break or for summer holidays with family and friends, with fantastic walking, water sports including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking in nearby Dale and great local pubs and restaurants, as well as a wealth of family attractions nearby.

The two holiday cottages at Musselwick are situated either side of a small lane, with views across the bay towards unspoilt Dale. Both cottages have direct access to the beach with private lawned gardens. Both also have full oil central heating, open fires, and are comfortably furnished with well equipped kitchens and modern bathrooms.

The Bungalow is a spacious Victorian house (allegedly the first bungalow in Wales) and every room in the house has a sea view. Joan's Cottage next door was built for the servants. Between them these properties offer 7 bedrooms. Please note that head height in Joan's Cottage bedrooms is quite low!

Sarah’s Cottage was renovated from three 18th century fishermen’s cottages. It now offers a cosy lounge with a wood burner and satellite TV with DVD player, and a large dining room with a table seating 8. The kitchen has a range cooker, fridges, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and ample cooking equipment. Outside the patio has the benefit of the last of the evening sun which sets over the water.

Sarah's Cottage has 3 double bedrooms, 1 with an en-suite shower, and a twin room, as well as a family bathroom and downstairs WC.

Accessibility

There are bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms in The Bungalow on the ground floor.

WiFi

There is poor mobile signal but both properties have land lines and broadband facilities.

Kitchen

Each kitchen is well equipped. All three have a dishwasher, fridge, freezer. The Bungalow and Sarah's Cottage have gas/electric range cookers.

Dining Room

Sarah's Cottage has a large dining room. The Bungalow kitchen/dining is the heart of the house and seats 16+.

Sitting Room

Sarah's Cottage sitting room has a large inglenook fire place with a wood burner. The Bungalow with Joan's Cottage has three sitting rooms.

TV and Music Facilities

There are TVs and DVD players and WiFi in Sarah’s Cottage and The Bungalow.

Games Room

We do not have a games room but there is plenty of room for games outside.

Heating and Open Fires

Both properties have full oil fired central heating. The Bungalow and Joan's Cottage have open fires, Sarah’s Cottage has a wood burner.

Bedrooms

There are a combination of single, double and twin bedrooms. Each is spacious and comfortable.

Linen

Linen is provided.

Bathrooms

Some bedrooms are en suite while others have wash basins. Each cottage also has a modern fitted bathroom.

Children's Facilities

The gardens and foreshore keep children occupied for hours. They usually do not want to go anywhere else!

Outdoor

The two holiday cottages have direct access to the beach with private lawned gardens.

Swimming Pool

We do not have a pool but swim and mess about in boats on the foreshore.

Parking

Ample parking is provided.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted indoors.

Booking Information

1/3 rent as deposit to secure booking, balance 56 days (8 weeks) before your stay. Changeover Friday for Bungalow and Joan’s, Saturday for Sarah’s. Check in after 4pm, out by 10.00am. Winter short breaks available.

Musselwick lies across the bay from Dale in a bay which is sheltered from the prevailing winds. We are in the Pembrokeshire National Park with direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the beach.
