Exclusive use bunkhouse 38 for families, friends and activity groups for short breaks in the Brecon Beacons

Holiday Rental for Groups of Families and Friends.
Govilon Old School House, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, sleeps 38 in 6 bedrooms.

Situated on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons, Govilon House offers scenic accommodation for up to 40 people, on either a catered or self-catered basis. The Centre offers an excellent and convenient base for groups of all kinds - families and friends for weekends and short breaks together, special interest groups and clubs, youth groups, and those looking for activity-filled adventures in the Brecon Beacons.

Set in a conservation area, the former village school is an old sandstone-built Victorian building which retains its character and charm. It has been converted to offer accommodation in simple but comfortable surroundings. Visiting groups always have sole occupancy, allowing the Centre to become their home for the duration of their stay with us.

Accommodation is in dormitory style rooms with bunk or single beds and adjacent washing/toilet facilities.

The main focal point of the Centre is the dining/meeting room which is equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, large screen television, video and DVD. There is also a large, industry-standard kitchen and a separate lounge for relaxing, playing games and making plans for the following day. Walkers and cyclists may also use this room for storing their bicycles or equipment. A separate building houses the well-stocked equipment store and there are two highly-efficient drying rooms. Visiting groups are very welcome to use the grounds for recreation or barbecues.
