With a buzzy calendar of year-round events and a lively fishing port, the bustling streets are home to arts and crafts trails, a food festival, children’s festival and the annual tattoo. There’s a real independent feel with lots of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants – part of the reason the town is often referred to as the St Ives of Scotland! Add in the monthly farmers’ markets and a classic car rally too and you can probably already imagine sitting outside a cafe and watching the world go by.
