There are few better locations than this for making the most of so many of Pembrokeshire's gems. Portclew Cottages provide a range of holiday cottages near Freshwater East, with its stunning beach and bay, well suited to friends and multi generational groups to get away for a holiday by the sea or for a celebration.

The 7 cottages include a stunning Georgian coach house and beautifully converted farm buildings, varying in size to suit mixed age groups especially young families and grandparents. The Coach House and Dairy are perfect for 2 families who will enjoy the sociability of spacious kitchen diners and comfortable lounges to relax. The Lower Old Farmhouse is all on 1 level with a French door access to the garden; this might be a good choice for anyone less mobile.

All of the properties have their own outside dining spaces to make the most of the wonderful Pembrokeshire micro climate. Guests are welcome to enjoy using the extensive lawned areas to relax or to enjoy family games.

Across the 7 cottages at Portclew, there is a combination of superkings, twins, a bunk, a triple and a quad room. All bedrooms are individually decorated and finished off with colourful and stylish soft furnishings. Bathroom facilities are plentiful, particularly in the Coach House where there are 4 en suites.

Keen walkers and cyclists will love the accessibility to this section of the Welsh Coastal Path, making the most of glorious sea views and unspoilt countryside. The Freshwater Inn is a short stroll from Portclew, a real treat for lunch out and pre-dinner drinks. The award winning Stackpole Inn is a short drive away and serves excellent food. Special beaches at Tenby, Barafundle Bay and Stackpole are close by, not to mention the magical Freshwater East Bay literally on the doorstep. Enjoy sea fishing, watersports, golf, or a visit to Bosherston lily ponds.

Coach House, Dairy, Hen House & Bullpen have en suites. The other cottages have shared bathrooms with baths and shower over/shower cubicles.

Garden areas at each cottage with tables and chairs. Shared lawns for games.

Swimming Pool

There is no pool, but the beach at Freshwater East is minutes away.

Sample prices – please enquire for other cottages. 25% deposit required to secure booking, balance due 4 weeks before arrival. Short breaks run Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday. In peak season we only accept 7 night bookings. No smoking please. Pets are not allowed.

Location

Located just a few minutes from Freshwater East and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Tenby is 20 minutes, Pembroke 10 minutes and Narberth 30 minutes. A477 road access.

Public bus service runs from Lamphey. In peak season the Coastal Cruiser runs past Portclew daily, great for anyone wanting to walk 1 way on the coastal path.
