Ancient ruins, powerful cities bursting with myths and legends, blue skies, warm waters, and pine-tree shaded beaches. Greek has everything you need for a great group holiday. So whether you’re visiting for the culture, the coastline or the wonderful food, you’ll find a welcoming country that’s full of life. See our selection of Greek holiday houses here.

Luxury near the sea at Athens

Whitewashed Villa Agnanti sleeps up to 30 people in 13 air conditioned bedrooms with their own private balconies. It’s in a quiet area where every room has a panoramic view of the sea and the forest. Spend your days lazing by the pool with the glorious views of Evoikos Gulf beyond. Even better, you’re less than 400 metres from Sesi beach for relaxing days watching the waves, or leisurely afternoons in seaside tavernas, but only an hour away from the capital Athens, often considered the birthplace of Western civilisation.

A Greek country estate

Only 20 minutes from Athens airport, and 10 minutes from the most beautiful sunsets in Greece at Cape Sounion where you will also find the ancient temple of Poseidon, this blush pink villa sitting on a huge 3-acre estate is definitely somewhere to bring a crowd. Sleeping between 15 and 60 people, Bonaventure Aegean Villa is the ideal size if you’re planning a wedding, or a big birthday celebration. So whether you’re planning to kick back with friends round the pool, or head to the nearby beach, the pretty marina or the quiet town of Anavyssos to grab a coffee or a bite to eat, you’ll definitely discover a slower pace of life. Saying that, the biggest cycle park in the Mediterranean is just next door, and there are 20 mountain bikes available at the villa if you fancy exploring on two wheels.

Stunning island retreats

Take the 30-minute ferry from Mykonos to the enchanting island of Tinos in the Aegean and be prepared to be truly wowed by the stunning beaches, history-filled villages and typical Cycladic architecture that awaits your arrival. The beautifully designed and contemporary-styled Diles and Rinies selection of 8 luxury villas offers you every holiday comfort you can think of; from private pools and fully equipped kitchens, to stunning sea views and BBQ areas. The villas are all set amongst a backdrop of gorgeous olive trees, grape vines and native flowers. Choose from Grande, Premium and Comfort villas which between them sleep up to 60 people in stylish, eco-friendly style.

Renovated courtyard cottages

Nestling in the olive groves on Zakynthos, this group of tiny traditional cottages ticks every authentic Greek experience box. From the stylishly simple but individually styled interiors to the wonderful outdoor spaces with an infinity pool and shaded terraces as well as a BBQ area, this peaceful retreat is perfect for family holidays, celebrations, art workshops or yoga retreats. Sleeping up to 15 in 7 bedrooms, there are coastal and hill walks all around.  It’s a brisk 10- minute stroll to the nearest restaurant, and there are also beaches, wineries and postcard pretty villages to explore.

The Dodecanese tower

Head to the Tower House on vibrant Kos for the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Designed to look like a cluster of traditional Greek buildings, and with panoramic views over Kefalos and Kamari Bay, this villa in 3.5 acres of private grounds makes a great spot to get away from the crowds. Settle down for an afternoon by the pool with everyone else or head to your own private patio or balcony when you need some time alone. There’s a charcoal BBQ for lazy afternoons in the garden or, if that seems like too much effort, then the villa is just 800m from Kamari Bay where you’ll find traditional tavernas and pizzerias waiting for you when you’re feeling peckish.
