Group Accommodation Swaffham
The intriguingly-named Swaffham is named after a Germanic tribe who migrated there in the sixth century. Today you’ll find a stylish market town largely composed of elegant Georgian buildings where independent coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants tempt weary travellers and locals alike. There’s still a market on Saturdays where you can get hold of most things you would need for a break, from food and drink to collectibles and household goods. For adventure-seekers there’s a karting track not far from the town, based at the old RAF station of North Pickenham, and if sedate wanders around attractive country estates are more your thing, then head to Oxburgh Hall, a moated country house.
