Aberystwyth Bunkhouse, part of the accommodation offered by Aberystwyth University, offers flexible accommodation available on an individual or group basis for any occasion: family get togethers, social trips with friends, activity, sporting or corporate use. Available all year round.

Rooms are arranged in flats of 6, 7 and 8 bedrooms over 3 floors with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. The Bunkhouse is conveniently located on the main university campus less than 5 minutes walk from the main campus conference rooms, restaurants, cafes and convenience shops. The university sports centre is only 10 minutes walk away and there is free access to the university swimming pool, sauna and gym for all guests. Also within a 10 minute walk is the Aberystwyth Arts Centre, an award winning venue with cinema, theatre, concert hall, gallery, gift shop, bookshop, cafe and bar.

The Bunkhouse is available with a range of dining options from self catering, bed & breakfast, to full board with lunch and dinner. Packed lunches and picnics are available to order and our Corporate events team can organise anything from casual buffets to fine dining and Gala Dinners for up to 180 guests.

Aberystwyth is a bustling market town in the heart of mid Wales overlooking the iconic Cardigan Bay. It is ideally placed as a base from which to explore the fabulous coastline and path, the dramatic Cambrian Mountains behind, the UNESCO Dyfi Biosphere and the neighbouring world famous national parks of Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire. Activities available locally include all water sports, world class mountain biking, road cycling, walking and climbing, bird watching, coarse, game and sea fishing.

The Bunkhouse is open all year round - additional accommodation is available over the summer break only, for up to 2,000 guests. Please enquire for more details.

Our shared dining rooms have tables and seating for 6 to 8 self catering guests. Additionally our campus restaurants can seat up to 180 guests.

There is a fully equipped gym on site with state of the art Matrix aerobic and strength and conditioning equipment - guests get free access!

Single bedrooms with 3' bed, 2 pillows and duvet, desk and chair, wardrobe, shelving, hand wash basin.

Linen

Guests are provided with clean laundry and towels which are changed weekly. More regular changes can be arranged at a small charge.

Each flat contains 2 separate toilets and showers.

Outdoor

There is a beautiful campus with woodland walks to explore as well as an outdoor running track and 3G all weather pitch which guests can book.

Swimming Pool

Our university sports centre has a 20m swimming pool and sauna - Bunkhouse guests get free access to the centre for the duration of their stay.

Parking

Dedicated free parking is available just across from the Bunkhouse - guests receive a car parking pass prior to their arrival.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in or around the Bunkhouse.

The Bunkhouse is located on Aberystwyth University Campus, just off the A487 on Penglais Hill. Near the centre of Aberystwyth in mid Wales, and the Pembrokeshire and Snowdonia National Parks.
