Chandlers couldn't be in a more fantastic location. Literally on the shoreline of The Firth Of Clyde, staying here is all about the stunning sea views from every window. Bute is the most easily accessed of the Western Isles and only a short ferry ride from the mainland, so an island getaway can be a convenient possibility. The principal town of Rothesay is just a short drive from Ascog with a choice of pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes to explore as well as the castle and Bute Museum. Many other historical sites are dotted around Bute including the Standing Stones at Ettrick Bay. There are lots of cycling and walking opportunities plus some coarse and game fishing at Loch Fad, a 10 minute drive away.
Chandlers Country House is the largest of the 3 properties. The living room is elegantly furnished with huge floor to ceiling windows looking out to sea. It also has a beautiful grand piano, guitars and amps for an impromptu jamming session. The dining room has seating for up to 20 guests and the snug houses its own well stocked bar so, all in all, the ideal place for some fun. Further options for accommodation can be found in the sleeps 8 apartment, again with a fabulous sitting room to sit back and relax, dining for 8 and the same stylish design features. Seaview is a little gem of a cottage for 2 on the ground floor, great for multi generation groups, those with mobility issues or couples.
All of the houses have amazing patio areas with lots of garden furniture to sit and enjoy the spectacular seascape over a barbecue or glass of something chilled. Chandlers and Seaview have the added bonus of hot tubs for proper luxury and indulgence to be enjoyed at any time of the day or night. Seaview also has a Jacuzzi bath.
The range of bedrooms offers flexibility and choice for larger numbers and all have modern en suite facilities. Rooms are individually designed with pretty soft furnishings.
