Dating from the 17th century, but repeatedly renovated and expanded at later dates, Château La Carrière is built in traditional Dordogne style. This can be seen in the shape of the structure (the towers), materials used (limestone) and specific details such as windows and shutters.
Château La Carrière sleeps 16 guests (plus 2) and can be divided into 2 parts: the North Wing and the South Wing. The North Wing of the Château, the oldest part, has 5 bedrooms. The South Wing, has three bedrooms, is the luxurious lower part of the building The property is ideal for groups of friends and several families.
The maximum number of people in your group is, under normal circumstances, 16. If your group comprises 17 or 18 people, we offer the option of renting the Pigeonnier for an additional fee
All guests have access to the home cinema, bar, home gym and hot tub. Château La Carrière offers a range of services for you and your group to make your stay more comfortable. Just let us know in advance how we can help you. Costs depend on the size of your group. These include private chef, airport pickup, babysitting service, massages, yoga, French lessons, day trips and daily maid service.
La Carrière is set on a 28-hectare estate, which includes a huge garden, fields and large forest areas. Situated on a sloping hill and overlooking a valley, the garden consists of a major lawn with various tall and mature pine and deciduous trees.
On the west side of the estate, a path descends into the woods to the bottom of the valley. It meanders through various fields and forest areas belonging to Château La Carrière and connects to several other distant trails. The pathways can be used for hiking as well as mountain biking.
Also on the estate is the beautiful pool, which measures 12m x 6m and 2.1m (6' 10") deep at the deepest point. From there, you have stunning views over the valley and can enjoy enchanting sunsets. Close by is the Pool House, an octagonal cabin with a seating area, kitchen, shower and toilet. In the back of the garden is an impressive Japanese-style lake and lake house which is the dedicated massage room. This area is, surrounded by a wealth of trees, shrubs and plants, and home to many fish.
